Our story
Albuquerque Zine Library was established at The Tannex (now sunsetted). The zine library had regular hours, and was open for browsing before and after Tannex shows and events. Gentrification and the COVID-19 pandemic killed The Tannex, and forced the zine collection into storage for years. Now, thanks to Gizmo Arts, the Albuquerque Zine Library is coming back to life, December 2026!
What we believe
Now more than ever, zines are critical to the conversation, and self-publishing is for everyone. The Albuquerque Zine Library collection is free and open to the public. Memberships exist to keep it that way.
Get involved
Beyond membership, we're looking for volunteers, donated zines old and new, and zinesters willing to run a workshop or two. Reach out if that's you.
